Adults

You’ve been stuck in a pattern of trying to hold it all together for everyone else, while also constantly feeling like “too much”. Painful past experiences impact the way you navigate life.

COMMON CONCERNS FOR ADULTS:

  • Stage of life concerns- Navigating shifts in relationships, employment, new parenthood, grief & loss, faith transitions, or adjusting to illness

  • Improving self-esteem and sense of identity, especially after the impacts of trauma, past hurts, or family conflict

  • Addressing roadblocks to healing. For example, intellectualizing our problems versus processing somatically

What if there was a way to break free from the endless cycle of self-doubt and guilt, to trust in your own identity, and to let go of the fear of not being enough? We’re here to help you acknowledge the past with compassion and build empowerment moving forward.

Adolescents

You’re fighting battles inside and out- trying to keep up with school, avoid judgment, and meet expectations.

COMMON CONCERNS FOR TEENS:

  • Navigating friendships and close relationships. It’s normal for teens to become more involved with their peers & seek increased independence

  • School stress. Teens not only face academic stress, but adjusting to new environments or bullying

  • Needing someone to talk to (other than their parents). A safe and confidential space to vent their concerns

What if you could find peace in knowing there’s strength in asking for help when things get tough? Half of all teenagers experience struggles with their mental health. Seeking interventions now, such as attending therapy, can help lesson the impacts.

Treatment Approach

  • Accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP) draws on building secure attachments and somatic experience to process overwhelming and painful emotions. This therapy improves well-being, self-compassion, and trust

  • These approaches fall under the umbrella of family therapies. They explore family dynamics and patterns of interaction. Individuals engaging in these therapies report strengthened boundaries, communication skills, and conflict resolution

  • Gestalt therapy involves creating a safe space to uncover and speak freely about things we may experience shame or discontentment with. It can be utilized to address unresolved negative feelings and unfinished business with others (or self)

  • Coherence therapy targets the "schemas" or stories we tell ourselves about a troubling situation and transforms them - producing a deeply felt, profound shift

  • In Solution-Focused Therapy we envision our ideal life and take small steps to turn that dream into a reality. We learn how to cope with problems by tapping into our innate strengths

  • Other treatment approaches we use: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Gottman Relationship Methods, Sex Therapy/Sensate Focus, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mind-Body Bridging, Worden Grief Counseling, Restorative Retelling
